Design Matters: Course Design Using OER and No-Cost Resources
Date and Time: Wednesday, March 23, 2016, 12:00pm-1:00pm
Location: Online, Blackboard Collaborate, ALG Resource Center
Description: Transforming a commercial textbook into OER and no-cost course materials often includes a full redesign of how the course is presented, and requires knowledge of best practices in online course design.
Three instructional designers from Textbook Transformation Grants projects (Tiffani Reardon, Kennesaw State University; Japheth Koech, Columbus State University; Ian Toppin, Fort Valley State University) will share their experiences, lessons learned, and advice for faculty seeking to transform their textbooks into affordable course materials.
