Copyright, Fair Use, and the Public Domain
Friday, October 21, 2016, 12:00pm-1:00pm
The most in-demand topic for the ALG Training and Development Series is copyright and open licensing, so we are providing two separate events in the Fall! Mariann Burright, Head of Science Collections and Scholarly Communication at the University of Georgia Libraries, will present on the first of the two copyright events, and will cover basic copyright practices, including the current state of Fair Use and how to determine if a work is within the Public Domain.
Copyright is a huge topic, and not everything can be covered in one hour! That’s why we will send out a questionnaire to registrants near the event, asking each person to provide at least one question about copyright they have, and these will be addressed at the event.
